Of all the pieces I observed at the Walsall Art Gallery, one creation stood out to me as incredibly impressive. Mat Collishaw’s ‘All Things Fall’ was created in 2014 using
material including: Aluminium, LED Lights, Motor, Plaster, Resin and Steel. It’s
dimensions are 200cm x 200cm x 200cm. The piece was based upon depictions of The
Massacre of the Innocents'. It was created using a 3D printer and took around 6
months of work and involved creating over 350 character figures, environment
elements and architecture. Below is a photograph of the piece beside a video depicting its movement.
