The first gallery that we visited was ‘New Art Gallery’ of
Walsall, besides the pieces permanently exhibited there; there were temporary exhibits
of the work of Jacob Epstein and Mat Collishaw, the latter of which I preferred
due to his use of dark tones beside bright colours to achieve great contrast,
also his use of negative themes, mainly death within his pieces. The gallery
building itself, in my opinion was well suited to the artwork it was displaying
with vast cold spaces, sparsely lit, I have tried to incorporate this
